Dressmaking for Beginners & Improvers

Sew away the winter blues by joining our community of sewists. Forming friendship over a common interest, you will be warmly welcomed into our group. Everyone is on their own journey and works at their own pace, with support from our experienced tutors.

Autumn term

• Tuesday late afternoons, 4.30-6.30pm 4th, 11th, 18th & 25th November, 2nd, 9th & 16th December.
• Tuesday evenings, 7-9pm 4th, 11th, 18th & 25th November, 2nd, 9th & 16th December.

Spring term

• Tuesday late afternoons, 4.30-6.30pm 6th, 13th, 20th & 27th January and 3rd & 10th February. 6 weeks.
• Tuesday evenings, 7-9pm 6th, 13th, 20th & 27th January and 3rd & 10th February. 6 weeks.
• Half term 17th February.
• Tuesday late afternoons, 4.30-6.30pm 24th February and 3rd, 10th, 17th & 24th March. 5 weeks.
• Tuesday evenings, 7-9pm 24th February and 3rd, 10th, 17th & 24th March. 5 weeks.

Classes are held at The Rugby United Reformed Church at 40 Hillmorton Road. There is a large car park and The Albert Room can be accessed by walking to the left of the church building and round the back. The venue is accessible with no steps, and accessible toilet facilities.

We try to break down barriers to learning, which is why if you have a carer or assistant whose support you will need to participate in this group, they are welcome to attend with you free of charge.

Sewing machines can be provided for you to use, but you are welcome to bring your own if you wish. By bringing your own sewing machine, you confirm that it is in full working order with no defects. 

We have a maximum group size of just 6 people.
